Marisa, Chris, and Alan are back for another week, this time to talk about smoke and fire. First, though, the gotta check in with each other. Chris talks about heading to Phoenix to check out the Rising New Mexico match. He laments that his beer trading attempt did not go to plan. Next, he shares his thoughts on the atmosphere there in Chandler.
It’s not all bad news, as the talk of smoke and fire moves to two new fire topics. The green keeper kits, and newcomer Oliver Larraz making team of the week. The team chats about limited edition kits and concert tickets.
The talk about Larraz takes us to the Sacramento game where there was smoke in the air and fire on the pitch. Marisa opens the discussion on if the game should have been played at all. The smoke was clearly a health risk all day.
Next, they talked about the fire on the pitch. There were several outstanding performances by San Diego this past Saturday. The team breaks those down and shouts those out. The star was Augie Williams, but there were fine performances from Corey Hertzog. Alan mentions that Austin Guerrero backed up his twitter posts with play on the pitch as well.
After that, the team chatted about the upcoming match. The playoffs inevitably come up still, even though we are still quite a ways away. The team is looking to regain its home form and what better team to face than Los Dos. Hopefully less smoke and more fire than last weekend.
Last, they share their final thoughts and wrap up with some Pacific Division matchups to keep an eye on.
