We are back to provide you weekly episodes on New Mexico United. In our absence, we have kept a firm eye on New Mexico United’s progress on the pitch week-to-week. We have recruited some new voices to join the podcast to round out the discussion. On this episode, Host Chris Walker welcomes Mark Essenmacher onto the podcast as a Guest Co-Host to talk about the New Mexico United’s season thus far. Mark shares his soccer story, which is sure to bring more accessory to the upcoming shows.
New Mexico United just broke a 6-game draw streak with a 3-2 loss at Phoenix Rising FC last weekend. This has led to the greater New Mexico United Nation to discuss whether Head Coach Troy Lesesne is still fit to lead this team. Chris and Mark address the hardest question of the evening, “Is United Under Fire?” Mark shares his perspective on the issue and Chris weighs in by asking if the players have been held accountable on this topic.
Lastly, Chris and Mark talk about New Mexico United’s updated roster, which includes latest additions David Najem, Chris Wehan, and Saalih Muhammad. They weigh in on what each player brings to the roster and if that will be enough to turn results around for the team. Chris and Mark both felt optimistic about the match against Colorado Springs Switchbacks in their score predictions. Chris and Mark will be back next week to discuss it all.
