Opposing Players to Watch

Augustine Williams: The USL’s Midseason Young Player of the Year has been a huge part of a surprising season for Timbers 2. He has four goals and two assists.

Foster Langsdorf: He’s the club’s top scorer, currently with eight goals to his name. The 22-year-old is the primary target man for T2.

Renzo Zambrano: Playing in front of the backline, Zambrano helps control the action for T2. He leads the club in tackles, tackles won, and duels won (by more than 20).

Three Keys to a Vegas Victory

Get It to GuzmanĀ

Daniel Guzman Jr. made his Lights’ debut last week. While the club was shutout, the new striker looked dangerous. The Lights should look to get the ball to Guzman Jr. consistently tomorrow and you can expect he may open his USL account.

Keep Em Out

Timbers 2 sit 9th in the USL in goals scored on the 14 most shots in the league. The Lights are starting to get their first-choice defenders back from injury and they will need to be on the top of their game. Only four of their 30 goals have come from outside the box, so the Lights will have to be aware the Timbers want to make the extra pass rather than fire from distance.

Play it Safe

When the Lights get scored on, it’s usually not just one goal. Playing a high scoring team on the road, there is no need for the visitors to stretch their selves thin. The club should sit some numbers behind the ball and not expose themselves to dangerous counter attacks.
