S2 Bonus: Peter Trevisani

Chris speaks with Peter Trevisani, Owner and President of New Mexico United, about the latest announcement of a Home Match, as well as, how the club has remained engaged in its initiatives during the pandemic.

About the Episode

Chris welcomes Peter Trevisani, Owner and President of New Mexico United, onto the show for a Q&A session about the club’s latest endeavors. United has played 11 of its scheduled 16 matches on the road this season. This due, in part, to the ongoing public health order in place for the state of New Mexico. The public health order mandated a 14-day quarantine for those traveling to and from the state. Governor Michelle Lujan-Grisham became highly concerned about the transmission of coronavirus with the prospect of United and its opponents entering and leaving New Mexico.

This was pretty much the writing on the wall that United would be traveling to all of its matches until the public health order changed to allow visiting teams in without the quarantine. Trevisani has gone on record stating that United would play all of its matches on the road if that’s what it took to bring the USL Cup Trophy back to New Mexico. The public health order was revised on September 3, 2020 making Colorado a low-risk state.

The Announcement

United will be hosting a home match in Colorado Springs with fans. Trevisani talks about how this event came together and what fans can expect. In addition, Chris asks Peter about how United is doing business-wise with limited revenue coming in and how United continues to trend. It was an informative conversation in this short sit down with El Jefe Trevisani. Thank you for joining us Peter!
