Xolos, The Kids, and OC

With Marisa at a family event, it was up to Chris and Alan to talk about The Xolos, the kids, and OC this week. First up was a brief wrap up from the friendly against Tijuana Xolos from Liga MX. They talked about the match. After that, how friendlies can build communities and draw in new fans to both clubs. Last, they talked about the kids from the Loyal Select and how much of a big deal it was to see them play.

Next, they dove into the Academy a little. Alan talked about his chat with Nate Miller. A discussion followed about how Loyal were training the players for the future. There will be no “token” minutes for Academy kids. If you see them playing, it’s because they earned it.

Lastly, the two spent a good chunk of time breaking down the Orange County match. They highlighted OC’s strengths and what to watch for. After that, they talked about the differences between this match and the last one in OC. That game ended in a 1-1 draw, so Loyal is hoping for it to go a little better.

This has been a big week for Loyal. Playing Xolos, the kids, and OC in just a few days.

They wrapped up with some thoughts on coffee orders and how Alan’s dog is terrible at making coffee.
