The March Madness of US Soccer

In episode #282, Jen “The Keeper” Cooper discusses the many madnesses surrounding women’s soccer this March – the USWNT players’ lawsuit, Carlos Cordeiro stepping down as president, SheBelieves Cup and more.

The first chat of this episode features longtime women’s soccer report Jonathan Tannenwald of the Philadelphia Inquirer. Jen and Jonathan cover US Soccer topics as well as the new NWSL broadcast deal with CBS.

Then Jen enjoys a fun soccer March Madness rant session with Brenda Elsey of the Burn It All Down podcast. Brenda is also co-author of Futbolera: A History of Women and Sports in Latin America.

Also in this episode is another “Jensplaining” segment. This week Jen goes over the US Soccer protocol for celebrating a player’s 100th cap.
