The evolution of the Beautiful Game Network

If you’re looking at this page, you most certainly notice a new look to the Beautiful Game Network that you’re familiar with. The Beautiful Game Network is continuing its growth and evolution as we move into February and closer to the beginning of the soccer season kicking off in the United States.

Five years ago, the Beautiful Game Network started with two podcasts: Mon Goals and USL Eastern Conference Confidential.  The Unused Substitutes joined not long after and since then, the network has grown consistently. Now, over 40 podcasts call BGN home, covering the USL, MLS, NWSL, and more. Within the last couple of years, written content has become a big piece of the platform as well with player features, breaking news, editorials, and match coverage.

With this new site design that you see, we’ve aimed to make it easier to find the content that you’re looking for and maybe even some that you aren’t. The club pages will provide a one-stop shop for written and audio work about that club. You will also be able to easily find content by conference and league. 2020 will see another year of our partnership with Ruffneck Scarves, an exciting new partnership with Icarus FC (official announcement coming soon), and an open mind to any relationships that will provide you, our readers and listeners, with quality products from quality companies.

There have also been changes made to the social media side of our operation. The Twitter account formerly known as @BGNWritten has now become @BGNMatchDay. This new dimension to the Beautiful Game Network will allow for the diverse talent (podcasters and writers) across the country to provide you with insight during matchdays this season and in the future. There will be certain matches live-tweeted by one of our talented personalities. Or, we could provide some insight on a major event or down the stretch for playoff seeding. Now, @thebgnfm will be tweeting out all of your favorite podcasts and the wide-ranging written content.

We’re happy to have all of you joining us on this journey, no matter when you arrived. The goal of BGN is to continue to grow as a team, but more importantly, help the sport of soccer get quality coverage from those that truly love the sport, no matter who they are or where they’re from.

Reporting live from Sin City, I have covered both RGVFC and Las Vegas Lights FC since their inceptions. I also write profiles to highlight players from the NCAA to USL to NWSL and everywhere in between.
