The Boys Are Back!

We’re back! After a three week hiatus that may have come as a welcome relief to our listeners, Speedway Soccer is back with some takes that will make you question everything you believe in.

In the first segment, Davey, Slape, and Ben talk all things #NashvilleMLS. We talk about stadium deal passing the final metro council vote and finally being able to focus on soccer. (Click here to read Joey Garrison‘s interview with Don Garber). We look at Steve Goff‘s/Sam Stejskal‘s recent interview with Nashville MLS CEO Ian Ayre (tweet thread here, article here). We start to ask how the transition from USL to MLS will happen, and look forward to some key events that will happen in the near future. In the second segment, we break down Nashville SC’s recent results, including a 4-0 win at home to Richmond, a 1-0 loss away to Charlotte, and a 3-3 draw away to North Carolina. We preview this week’s home match against Tampa Bay and a huge six-pointer against Charleston.

In the final segment, we look ahead to Nashville’s remaining seven matches and look at how the playoff picture might shape up. With a lot of crucial matches left to play, anything could happen. Tell us if you think Nashville will finish in a top 4 spot in this week’s #SpeedwaySoccerPoll.
