S2 E24 USL Playoffs – Talking New Mexico United

Seek & Strike Collective is back with another episode of We Are Seek & Strike Podcast (WASSP). Chris and Alicia kick things off by talking about their love for the beautiful game. This steadily shapes into a cry for more New Mexico United soccer. They are okay with it and here for it.

Hosts Chris and Alicia wrap up the season by talking New Mexico United’s 1-0 win against Real Monarchs.We talk about Joris Ahlinvi’s game-winning goal. But with the USL Playoffs steadily approaching, all attention was on Group C.

United spent the final weekend of the season on standby waiting to learn the results of Tulsa’s match with Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and Locomotive’s match against Monarchs. These matches would affect the seedlings of the USL Playoffs.

Phoenix Rising FC and San Diego Loyal had a match a few weeks back, Loyal walked off the pitch in protest to the homophobic slur said Loyal’s, Colin Martin. It was alleged to have been said by Rising’s Junior Flemmings. Ahead of the USL Playoffs, the USL returned its findings from the investigation. Chris and Alicia give this topic some additional thoughts.

USL Playoffs: SAFC On-The-Pitch

Locomotive would spoil United’s hopes to host the USL Playoffs for the 2020 season. So, United will be heading on the road once again to face Group D winner, San Antonio FC. Chris and Alicia preview the match talking about United’s current run of form and discussing some of the key stats about SAFC. They share their predictions.
