Chris and Alicia discuss Amando Moreno’s performance in New Mexico United’s latest 2-1 victory against Real Monarchs SLC; United clinch playoffs ahead of its match hosting Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.

Just before Chris and Alicia record the episode, they find out that #USLChampionship sides El Paso Locomotive and New Mexico United both clinched a playoff spot following the losses by Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and Real Monarchs SLC on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. These aren’t the only honors to celebrate this week as Amando Moreno and Austin Yearwood were named to USL’s Team of the Week.
In this latest match with the Monarchs, United’s Moreno finds the back of the net twice for a brace on the day. Though, his contributions range far and wide over the 90 minutes Saturday afternoon. Chris and Alicia break down all of Moreno’s touches during the Monarchs’ match recap.The conversation shifts away from the Monarchs and onto Switchbacks FC as United will play them for the fourth time this Saturday at Weidner Field. Chris and Alicia preview Switchbacks FC using their latest 2-1 loss against El Paso Locomotive as the canvas to discuss key factors for United to secure a win.
Towards the end of the episode, Chris and Alicia finally talk about United clinching the playoffs on a night they weren’t even playing. They share their reactions and look ahead to the weekend.As United plays out its final 4 matches, critical decisions must now be made to ensure the on-pitch product has the best chance to secure the win.
