The Black Players Alliance of the USL has been formed. It’s an organization led by black players with a mission to empower its members to use their platforms & impact their communities.
Forward Madison postponed their match against North Texas. The club did this to highlight the killing of Jacob Blake and to shift attention toward the fight against systemic discrimination toward Black Americans.
Ira and Discuss the Kickers signing Oalex Anderson a St. Vincent and Grenadines international. Plus Ross reviews Tormenta FC signing Curtis Thorn who Ross was able to see play at Nova Southeastern University.
Match Reviews and Richmond Tops Points Per Game Standings
Ross and Ira review all the week’s action, with an emphasis on Greenville’s two losses and the rise of Richmond Kickers. Omaha remains undefeated with another 2-1 home win against FC Tucson. The two discuss FC Tormenta needing points quickly as the only independent team with a “2” side ahead of them at the moment.
The Kickers top the table in points per game with 2.17 ppg, followed by Greenville and Union Omaha on 2.0 ppg. Chattanooga and Fort Lauderdale remain within striking distance.

What is League One Fun
League One Fun is the Beautiful Game Network podcast that covers the entirety of USL League One. Jason and Ira discuss the third tier and lowest tier of professional soccer. The two conduct player, coach and front office interviews as well as review matches and league news. Independent franchises include Greenville Triumph, South Georgia Tormenta, Richmond Kickers, Chattanooga Red Wolves, Forward Madison and Union Omaha. The league also includes USL Championship Phoenix Rising’s second team FC Tucson. There are now five MLS2 sides. These include Fort Lauderdale CF (InterMiami), New England Revolution II, Toronto FC II, North Texas SC (FC Dallas), and Orlando City B.
