We’re back and trying to figure out what in the world is going on in this league. Richmond Kickers are shocking everyone as the most improved team in the league and getting better every week, a group of teenagers in Fort Lauderdale continue to show why age ain’t nothing but a number and competing with whoever is on the other side of the field, OCB is back to the OCB we know, and throughout all of this, the biggest surprise may be Tormenta and North Texas woes. What has happened and how hard can Jason press a panic button before it breaks off? The defending champs looked anything but against New England, as the duo review all the games last week and speak on why backlines may be the make or break piece for teams this year.

The duo also discusses the latest news, including more COVID cases (surprise surprise), new signings, new schedule, and some potential spicy drama in the OCB locker room. With the only normal being Greenville, we discuss Jake Keegan and Coach Harkes as player and coach of the month, respectively, and discuss whether or not the team is already a shoo-in for the championship.
Finishing off with a preview of this week’s upcoming games, Ira and Jason also discuss what’s wrong with Tormenta, what’s right with Chattanooga, and who can kiss their playoffs goodbye with a loss this weekend.
What is League One Fun
League One Fun is the Beautiful Game Network podcast that covers the entirety of USL League One. Jason and Ira discuss the third tier and lowest tier of professional soccer. The two conduct player, coach and front office interviews as well as review matches and league news. Independent franchises include Greenville Triumph, South Georgia Tormenta, Richmond Kickers, Chattanooga Red Wolves, Forward Madison and Union Omaha. The league also includes USL Championship second team FC Tucson. There are now five MLS2 sides. These include Fort Lauderdale CF (InterMiami), New England Revolution II, Toronto FC II, North Texas SC (FC Dallas), and Orlando City B.
