League One Fun – Episode 74: Week 2 of Covid Play

With players testing positive for Covid-19, yet play still goes on. With six matches reviewed and five more previewed, the duo go into detail on most of the goals and three red cards. They start with a review of the positive Covid tests, then discuss Richmond’s stadium enhancements and the new Chattanooga Red Wolves home that will debut on Saturday.

Union Omaha’s debut match went scoreless, but it wasn’t boring. The boys remain impressed with Fort Lauderdale’s play, at least until two teenagers each get their second yellow.

Richmond gets unlucky, while Greenville’s defense may not be the juggernaut it was last year. Tormenta and Chattanooga draw thanks to last minute heroics by striker turned right back Daniel Jackson.

North Texas death by 600 cuts remains a thing, as Forward shows moments of brilliance early. Finally, the draw between Tormenta and Richmond was not as boring as the score line suggests. And Jason thinks Richmond is in good shape, while Ira is questioning his call that Richmond make the finals.
