San Diego Loyal Soccer Club kicks off their season this coming Saturday against the Las Vegas Lights, and Alan, Marisa, and Chris are here to talk about it.

But first, there are a couple matches to talk about. Marisa went down to Chula Vista to watch an inter-squad scrimmage that took place on Wednesday. She was able to talk with other media members, several players, and Landon Donovan. We play audio from Donovan’s interview where he talks about the general feeling on the pitch and some season expectations. He also talks about what he wants for his birthday and what he might be wearing on the sideline for the inaugural match.

The team briefly talk about the SD Loyal’s friendly against Reno 1868 FC. They talk about several of the great goals from the match, as well as what it might mean for the Western Conference. They also discuss the watch party at Stone Brewery and how it reflects the growing community around the team.

Up next, the team previews the Las Vegas Lights match. They talk about their key signings and highlight an article on the Beautiful Game Network by Carson Merk. Its a good read if you get the chance.

Finally, they make score predictions and talk about who might be in Loyal’s starting XI. They then talk about where they see San Diego Loyal in the standings at the end of the season. They take some YouTube comments and questions.
