On this weeks Fair Weather, Alan and Marisa talk news and the hat trick in the desert. We send our best wishes to Chris who was out for this one after a fender bender. First, the two talk about the news around San Diego. They talk about the new shop that San Diego Loyal announced. You can find it by clicking here. There are some new designs and the much sought after 3XL kits!
Next, they congratulated the San Diego Padres for clinching a playoff spot. Hopefully those good vibes spread so Loyal can get into the playoffs as well. They took a big step to keep their playoff hopes alive. Marisa and Alan talk about the game against Phoenix and recapped some of the more controversial calls. While it is understandable that Phoenix fans are upset, the correct calls were made and Loyal were able to escape with a much needed 3 points. Oh, yeah, and that beautiful hat trick was nice, I guess…At the time of recording of this podcast, Loyal have a 23% chance of making the playoffs. This is up from around 1% earlier in the week. This win extends their win streak to 3 games, and they are unbeaten in the last 5.
After that, Marisa and Alan talked a little bit about what to expect heading to Los Angeles Galaxy II. According to a video posted by San Diego, coach Landon Donovan correctly pointed out that this is the team’s season. Win, and playoffs are still in the cards. Lose and your season is over. Los Dos will also be playing for their playoff lives, so it should be a good match. Most of you will already know by the time you listen what the outcome is. Hopefully you are happy. We don’t need another hat trick, but one would definitely help.
