On Episode 32, we express our frustrations but also remain hopeful in San Diego Loyal’s future. On this podcast, Marisa and Alan talk some USL news. They talk about the increase in viewership, Saint Louis drama, and Irvin Parra’s injury.
Next was the frustrated part as they break down last weeks games. They talk about how excited they were to see San Diego out play a good Orange County side for over a half. But…they also break down some of the bad, including the couple lapses that lead to Loyal conceding two and dropping that game.
After that was more frustrations. This time in the desert of Arizona. Alan and Marisa talked about the reality that San Diego would have a tough time against two of the best teams in the USL. They shared their disappointment, but also the realization that this is year one. Alan talked about what the team might be missing that separates San Diego and the top teams in the Western Conference.
Lastly, they invited Bradley Palonsky on from 1868 weekly. He filled us in on what Reno 1868 has been up to. Bradley broke down the ins and outs of being an MLS affiliated team. He talked about how it has benefitted Reno, but also some of the bad. Next, he highlighted players that we should look out for and players San Diego can exploit. He also brought up the unique defensive formation that Reno likes to use.
We closed out with some Group B score predictions for the next week. We are hopeful we wont be frustrated.
