Fair Weather gets Friendly

On episode seven of the Fair Weather Podcast, Alan and Chris dig into the friendlies and “scarf-gate”.
San Diego Loyal’s most recent friendly was held at Torero Stadium on the Campus of University of San Diego. Alan and Chris cover the pregame festivities as well as the play on the field. They discuss the random red card and why it might not be a bad thing in the long run. (was Darren’s scarf spotted?)
They also discuss the upcoming friendly against Reno 1868 FC. They discuss the history of Reno and what San Diego Loyal might expect. The friendly will be the last game prior to the season starting and will be an important measuring stick for the newly formed team. Fair Weather might stop by watch this friendly at the watch party, so stay tuned.
After the discussion about friendlies, they continue their preseason previews of Western Conference teams focusing on Real Monarchs and Orange County. Chris discusses Real Monarchs SLC and their recent success, while Alan highlights how strong Orange County is after several weeks signings to bolster almost every spot on the pitch.
They spend some time discussing the most recent fan trophy, The Wooden Spoon. Also, Alan and Chris dive into “Scarf-gate” and do a little “Lawal and Order” about the missing scarf. There will be more friendlies and “scarf-gate” to come. Stay for when Marisa makes a surprise cameo from LAX as well after getting to see Arsenal in person.
