Can soccer bring peace to conflict zones?

In episode 9, Liz and LauraEllen dive into an article which seeks to understand the degree to which soccer brings peace to conflict zones. The 2020 paper by Salma Mousa looks at an experiment in Iraq which uses soccer as a way to bring Christians and Muslims together. Liz and LauraEllen discuss this study and think about how we can use this model use soccer to bring peace to conflict.
