Cameron Lancaster Set to Sign with Louisville City

Cameron Lancaster is set to leave Nashville SC and sign with Louisville City FC of the USL Championship, according to BGN sources. The 2018 USL Golden Boot winner struggled with injuries in his time in Nashville, playing just 820 minutes in all competitions in 2019.

The striker set the USL Championship single-season scoring record, finding the net 26 times en route to Louisvilleā€™s second USL Cup win, but struggled to regain that form in Nashville. He was effective in limited minutes in a gold jersey, tallying six goals and one assist in 19 appearances, but missed 14 matches due to injury.

Nashville currently have three other forwards on the roster, including Daniel Rios, who lead Nashville SC with 20 goals in 2019. Players report for training next week before spending pre-season in Florida. Lancaster is expected to travel with the Nashville to Bradenton and leave shortly after preseason starts.
